Enable or disable the latest user interface
The latest user interface (UI) is not yet enabled by default in production environments for some customers. To enable the latest UI, complete the following steps.
Depending on your environment, follow this procedure either on the Services Configuration tab of the Collibra settings or in Collibra Console:
Requirements and permissions
- You have the ADMIN or SUPER role in Collibra Console.
- You have a global role that has the System administration global permission.
- The Services Configuration tab is available in the Collibra settings.
Steps

Open the Services Configuration page.

On the main toolbar, click
, and then click
Settings.
The Collibra settings page opens. - Click Services Configuration.
- Click Edit configuration.
Open the DGC service settings for editing:- Open Collibra Console.
Collibra Console opens with the Infrastructure page. - In the tab pane, expand an environment to show its services.
- In the tab pane, click the Data Governance Center service of that environment.
- Click Configuration.
- Click Edit configuration.

On the main toolbar, click
, and then click
Settings.
- In the Frontend features section, go to the New frontend experience enabled setting.
- Select the required value.
Setting Description True Enables the latest Collibra user interface, showing a brand new design. False Disables the latest UI and shows the previous, classic UI. NoteThe default value varies based on your Collibra environment.
- Commercial customers:
- Non-production environments: The latest UI is enabled by default starting from version 2024.05.
- Production environments: The latest UI is enabled by default starting from version 2024.10, unless customers have raised blockers with the Customer Success team.
- New commercial customers: the latest UI is enabled by default in all environments.
- Non-commercial customers: The default value is set to false in all environments.
- Commercial customers:
- Click Save all.

Tip To ensure the best experience when using the latest UI, we recommend using the latest browser version and configuring your network settings to allow for HTTP/2 or HTTP/3. For more information, go to the Collibra Support center.
- Familiarize yourself with the differences between the latest UI and the classic UI.
Tip Collibra often shows complex information, including large data tables. To ensure optimal viewing, use a screen width of at least 1,200 pixels. Smaller screens widths are not supported.
- If you changed your instance using override files in the classic UI, check the Help Center article for alternate ways to apply some of these customizations in the latest UI.
- If you're using dashboards or custom workflows, verify that they render as expected and update the widgets and HTML code if needed.
- Update your internal documentation and training materials for your users. For example, educate users on the Show Empty Optional Values option and the in-page editing experience on asset pages.
- Optionally, make the most out of your instance by enabling and configuring some of our new features, such as the following:
- Deliver relevant content to your users with Tailored Asset Pages. You can create customized layouts for your asset types via our layout editor.
- Make asset discovery easier with configurable search result fields.
- Provide a curated and customized search experience to all your users.
- Get description recommendations for Catalog assets via Collibra AI.
