Data Marketplace in Search
Important This feature is available only in the latest UI.
Data Marketplace in Search refers to the Data Marketplace experience on the search page. It is available only if you have the Data Marketplace global permission. If you have this permission, the search page shows a set of tabs, called search tabs, that allow you to switch between curated and global search results.
When you first open the search page, the Data Marketplace search tab is active by default. The search tab you then click, either Data Marketplace or All Results, remains active as you navigate between pages. However, any quick filter search tab you click resets to Data Marketplace when you reopen the search page.
Search tabs
The following table describes the search tabs shown on the search page.
Search tab | Description |
---|---|
Data Marketplace | Allows you to switch to the Data Marketplace search for searching within a curated subset of assets. |
Data Sets, Reports, Tables |
Default quick filters configured for Data Marketplace in Search. Quick filters allow you to automatically apply a set of filters to the search results in a single action. Tip Up to 3 quick filter search tabs are shown at a time. If more than 3 quick filter search tabs are configured, the More menu appears to allow you to select additional ones. When you select a quick filter from the More menu, that filter is shown as the third quick filter search tab.
|
All Results |
Allows you to view global results. The name of this tab is customizable via Collibra settings. |
When you click the Data Marketplace search tab or one of the quick filter search tabs:
- Additional filters appear in the facet pane on the left depending on how your administrator has configured the Data Marketplace filter facets. The Search in Fields filter, however, is always shown.
- The Preview button appears next to each search result to open the corresponding asset preview. To see this button, hover your pointer over the result.
- appears next to each search result to open the corresponding asset in a new tab or to use the workflows available for the asset. These workflows are different from the Data Marketplace actions defined for the asset preview. To see , hover your pointer over the result.
