Users and Subscriptions settings page

Important

In Collibra 2024.05, we launched a new user interface (UI) for Collibra Data Intelligence Platform! You can learn more about this latest UI in the UI overview.

Use the following options to see the documentation in the latest UI or in the previous, classic UI:

On the Users and Subscriptions page of the Collibra settings, you can:

  • Define users and what they are allowed to do in which part of Collibra.
  • Manage user groups.
  • Get an overview of your license consumption and download monthly reports.
  • See your current asset allowance if you have a new license model.
  • See the current product package you are using.

Collibra uses a standard user-group-role model in which you create groups that have roles assigned, and you add users to the groups. You can also assign roles to individual users.

Assigning roles to users or groups is important:

  • You provide or restrict permissions to perform certain actions in Collibra, such as editing asset attributes or deleting domains.
  • You define the responsibilities of the user. These responsibilities are mostly used in workflows to assign tasks to correct users.

You can manage users in the following ways:

  • SCIM: Manage users and groups via your Identity Provider.
  • LDAP: Connect Collibra to your company's LDAP server to import users and groups.
  • Manually: Create users and groups in Collibra.

The Users and Subscriptions page has several tab pages:
