Request responsibilities

Important  This feature is available only in the latest UI.

You can request responsibilities for domains or assets if the Request Responsibility feature is enabled in your environment:

1. Open a domain or asset page.
2. Go to the Responsibilities page.
3. In the upper-right corner of the page, click Request Responsibility.

   The Request Responsibility dialog box appears.

   

4. Enter the required information.
5. Click Submit.

   A notification confirms your submission.

   

Requesting a responsibility creates a task for the approvers, who are users with a specific role for the respective resource, usually community managers:

The approver can select one or more roles to assign to you based on your request or can reject the request. In either case, you receive an email notification once this task is complete.

Note Unlike workflows, requesting or assigning responsibilities does not require you to have a role with workflow permissions.
