1

Set up a community-domain structure

Create the communities and domains that logically reflect the functional organization of your company.

Note This task applies only if your organization is new to Collibra and no community-domain structure is in place.

2

Move out-of-the-box domains

Identify the relevant team in your organization for each of the domains and move the domains to the corresponding communities.

3

Create and edit resource roles and configure permissions

Review the out-of-the-box resource roles, create new ones as necessary, and add or remove resource permissions for a resource role.

4

Create responsibilities

Create the required responsibilities to use the data privacy-related workflows.

5 Govern privacy and risk-related asset types and assets Govern the assets types and assets that are required to benefit from the Data Privacy custom asset pages and workflows.
6

Govern applications and key mappings

Your Privacy team has to set up an inventory of the applications across your organizations. You can then map your applications to the personal data consumed and processed by each application, and set the security level for each application.
7 Create privacy policy-defining assets Your Privacy team has to create a data classification policy and related standards, data categories, and data attributes. Your Governance team can then map these privacy policy-defining assets to the physical data layer.
8 Set up a third-party register Set up a third-party register domain to store all your third-party privacy profiles.
