Sort search results

Use the following options to see the documentation in the latest UI or in the previous, classic UI:

You can sort the search results on the search page by the following criteria:

  • Relevance
  • Newest: Sorts the results in descending order of when they were last modified. The most recently modified results are shown at the top.
  • A-Z: Sorts the results in alphabetical order of names.
  • Z-A: Sorts the results in reverse alphabetical order of names.
  • Oldest: Sorts the results in ascending order of when they were last modified. The oldest results are shown at the top.
  • Name
  • Last modified on (newest to oldest)

Steps

  1. Perform a search via the Search box or the Search widget.
  2. On the search page, in the upper-right corner, click next to the sort fieldthe Relevance menu.
  3. Select the criterion by which you want to sort the search results.
    The results are sorted in descending order.
  4. Optional: To sort in ascending order, click .

You can create a search filter or edit an existing search filter to save your sort settings as part of the saved filter configuration.
