About notifications

This feature is available only in the latest UI.

Notification features help you stay informed and collaborate effectively. There are multiple ways to stay up to do date on what is happening in your Collibra Platform:

  • Notification Center allows you to manage and prioritize your notifications, ensuring that you never miss important updates or tasks.
  • Slack integration brings notifications and actions directly into your Slack workspace, enabling seamless communication and collaboration. 
  • Teams integration brings notifications and actions directly into your Microsoft Teams tenant, enabling seamless communication and collaboration. 
  • Email notifications allow you to control what you are emailed about and how often.
  • In-app notifications allow you to control what platform updates you want to receive.

Notifications available

Tasks and issues management

By default, workflow task notifications are disabled for most instances. To receive them, change the Customizable email notifications feature flag in Console to "false". Please note that in doing so, you will lose access to custom email templates for workflows, as well as email batch scheduling.

Task assigned

  • Workflow task assigned: A workflow task is created or reassigned, and the user receiving the notification is either the assignee or one of the users who can complete the task. We don't retract a notification for the previous assignee if it gets re-assigned, but the message is appended in the Notification Center.

  • AI Governance assessment assigned: Notify assignee when they are added to an assessment.

  • AI Governance sign-off assigned: Notify assignee when their sign-off is required.

  • Control Tower control failure: Alert relevant users or groups when a control execution identifies non-compliant assets.

  • Control Tower control invalid: Alert control owners that the control has become invalid due to operating model changes.

Task completed

  • AI Governance sign-off completed: Notify stakeholders upon the completion of a requested sign-off activity.

Task reminders

  • Workflow task reminder: A task that you were assigned is due soon.

  • Workflow task escalation: A task that you were assigned is overdue.

Issues identified

  • AI Governance unauthorized model: Notify owners of an AI Use Case when an unauthorized model is being used.

Mentions

  • Comment mentions: Someone mentioned you in a comment or a thread reply.

Comments and replies

  • AI Governance assessment comment created: The assessment owner receives a notification when a new comment was created on their assessment.

  • Comment replies: Someone replied to a thread that you started, replied to, or were mentioned on.

Resource changes

Resource updates

  • Updates to your resources, such as assets and domains: Your resources are those that are assigned to your role in Console. These were previously called "Content Notifications".

    Note Resource updates are sent in a separate email digest and are not available in Slack, Microsoft Teams, or the Notification Center. They aren’t affected by system defaults and are managed only by you.

Relation changes

  • AI Governance alert on Data Privacy & Policy changes: Alert AI Council whenever something changes in the indirect relations between AI Use Cases and Policies/Data Categories.

Data quality jobs

  • DQ Run Score: Alert users when job run score is less than or equal to a number specified by the user.

  • DQ Run Failed: Alert users when job run score failed.

  • DQ Job Runs without Data: Alert users when job runs without data for days greater than or equal to a number specified by the user.

  • DQ Job Run Completed: Alert users when a job run is complete.

  • DQ Job Rows Under Threshold: Alert users when a job runs with rows less than or equal to a number set by the user.

  • DQ Job Run Duration Exceeded: Alert users when a job run exceeds a time limit set by the user.

  • DQ Job Days Without Data: Alert users when a job runs without data for days less than or equal to a number set by the user.

  • DQ Custom Rule Passed: Alert users a specific DQ Rule passed when the job ran.

  • DQ Job Custom Rule Exception: Alert users when a specific rule was not able to execute properly.

  • DQ Job Custom Rule Breaking: Alert users a specific DQ Rule broke when the job ran.

  • DQ Job Adaptive Monitor Passing: Alert users a specific DQ Adaptive monitor passed when the job ran.

  • DQ Job Adaptive Monitor Breaking: Alert users a specific DQ Adaptive Monitor broke when the job ran.
