Assign custom landing homepages

By default, all Collibra Platform users see whatever default landing page an administrator has set in the Landing Page Settings. As an administrator, you can also assign custom landing pages to specific users, groups, or roles.

Custom landing pages let you direct different users. groups, or roles to the most relevant starting point in Collibra for them. You can assign any valid Collibra page URL as a custom landing page, including app pages, dashboards, and community pages. For example, you can make the Stewardship Dashboard the landing page for data stewards. Drag entries to reorder them and control priority.

Prerequisites

You have the ADMIN role in Collibra.

Add a custom landing page

  1. On the main toolbar, click Products icon → Cogwheel icon Settings.
    The Settings page opens.
  2. In the General section, click Landing page.

    The Landing page page opens.
  3. In the Custom landing pages section, click either Add custom landing page or Add another custom landing page.
    The Custom landing page form opens.
  4. In the Page URL field, enter a valid Collibra page URL. You can copy and paste the URL directly from your browser.
  5. In the Name field, enter a descriptive name for the landing page. For example, Stewardship homepage.
  6. In the Applied for field, select the users, groups, or roles this custom landing page applies to.
    Note You can add multiple users, groups, and roles to a single custom landing page. However, that user, group, or role can only be added to one custom landing page. If you need to add them to a different landing page, you must first remove them from whichever landing page they have already been assigned to.
  7. Click Add.
    The custom landing page appears in the list.
    When the users, groups, or roles next login or click the application logo, they see this landing page.
  8. Optional, drag and drop the custom landing pages in the list to change the priority.
    Note If a user belongs to more than one group or role that has a custom landing page assigned, the first matching entry in the list is applied.

Edit a custom landing page

  1. On the main toolbar, click Products icon → Cogwheel icon Settings.
    The Settings page opens.
  2. In the General section, click Landing page.

    The Landing page page opens.
  3. In the Custom landing pages list, find the custom landing page you want to change and click edit.
  4. Update the Page URL, Name, or Applied for field.
  5. Click Add to save your changes.

Delete a custom landing page

  1. On the main toolbar, click Products icon → Cogwheel icon Settings.
    The Settings page opens.
  2. In the General section, click Landing page.

    The Landing page page opens.
  3. In the Custom landing pages list, find the custom landing page you want to change and click Delete outline rounded icon delete.
    The Remove custom landing page warning appears.
  4. Click Remove.
    The custom landing page is deleted.
    Any user, group, or role that had this assigned custom landing page now sees the next applicable custom landing page or the default landing page.
