Edit default landing page

As an administrator, you can choose and configure a default landing page to provide your Collibra users with relevant, easy to access content. Your configuration options depend on which homepage is set in Settings.

Homepage option Description
Default homepage Shows the homepage with the three-column layout. You can edit this page with the built-in homepage editor, however there are limited customizations available for this option.
Formatted homepage (in preview) Shows the customizable homepage with sections and widgets. This can be edited via the Page Editor.

Prerequisites

You have a global role that has the System administration global permission.

The default homepage uses a built-in editor. Changes are automatically saved, but not published, each time you click outside the section where you made changes.

Steps

  1. Open the homepage.
Tip The homepage opens when you sign in to Collibra, or when you click the application logo from any page in Collibra.
  2. In the upper-right corner of the page, click Edit Page.
    The homepage editor opens.
Tip If another administrator has edited or is editing the homepage, a message indicating so appears on the homepage, for example, Draft saved 8 minutes ago by Mabel. You can, however, still edit the homepage.
  3. Edit the sections.
    Tip
    • If you want to pause editing the homepage or want to publish the edited homepage later, in the upper-right corner of the page, click XClose Editor. This action saves all your changes but shows the last published homepage in the view mode.
    • If you want to discard all your changes and see the last published version, click Delete Draft. You can then continue to make new changes to the homepage.
    • If you want to discard all your changes and see the Collibra version of the homepage, which is the original version, click Restore Collibra Version. You can then continue to make new changes to the homepage. Instead of making new changes, if you want to publish the Collibra version, click Publish.
  4. To preview the homepage, click Preview.
A preview of the homepage is shown.
Tip If you want to make more changes to the homepage, click Back to Editor.
  5. To publish the homepage, click Publish.
The edited homepage is published and becomes available to all the users.

The Formatted homepage (in preview) is customizable using the Page Editor, which lets you add and arrange sections and widgets, including text, images, metrics, and links.

Steps

  1. Open the homepage.
Tip The homepage opens when you sign in to Collibra or you click the application logo. Make sure this option is set as your default landing page in Settings.
  2. In the upper-right corner, click Edit.
    The Page Editor opens.
  3. Use the Page Editor to customize the page with sections and widgets.
Your changes are automatically saved when you click out of a component.
  4. Optional, click Preview to review your changes.
  5. Click Publish to publish your changes.
