Share a dashboard

Use the following options to see the documentation in the latest UI or in the previous, classic UI:

You can share a dashboard with other users if the widgets in the dashboard contain information that is useful to them. You can share a dashboard from a dashboard or from the dashboard navigation panel if the Dashboard Ordering (beta) setting is enabled.

Prerequisites

  • If you want to share your own dashboard: Ensure that you have a global role that has the Share Your Own Views, Dashboards, Search Filtersglobal permission.
  • If you want to share another user's dashboard: Ensure that you have a global role that has the Manage Shared Views, Dashboards, Search Filtersglobal permission.
  • To share a dashboard from a dashboard:
    • If you want to share your own dashboard: Ensure that you have a global role that has the Share Your Own Views, Dashboards, Search Filters global permission.
    • If you want to share another user's dashboard: Ensure that you have a global role that has the Manage Shared Views, Dashboards, Search Filters global permission.
  • To share a dashboard by using the Manage All Dashboards dialog box opened from the dashboard navigation panel:

Steps

  1. Open the dashboard.
  2. Click → Share. Click .
    The Share Dashboard As dialog box appears.
  3. Specify with whom you want to share the dashboard and whether you want to make the dashboard the default dashboard for the users with whom you are sharing it.

  4. Click Save.
  • Share a dashboard from a dashboard when the Dashboard Ordering (beta) setting is not enabled:
    1. Open the dashboard.
    2. Click → Share.Click .
      The Share Dashboard As dialog box appears.
    3. Specify with whom you want to share the dashboard and whether you want to make the dashboard the default dashboard for the users with whom you are sharing it.

    4. Click Save.
  • Share a dashboard from a dashboard when the Dashboard Ordering (beta) setting is enabled:
    1. Open any dashboard.
    2. Click .
    3. Specify with whom you want to share the dashboard.

    4. Click Save.
  • Share a dashboard from the dashboard navigation panel:
    1. Open any dashboard.
    2. In the dashboard navigation panel, click .
      The Manage All Dashboards dialog box opens.
    3. Specify with whom you want to share the dashboard.

    4. Click Close.
