Collibra AI helps you accelerate the creation of descriptions for your assets in Collibra, making your data easier to understand.
- Collibra AI can help you to create a description for a Column, Table, Database View, or Data Set asset.
- In Table assets, Collibra AI can also help you to create descriptions for all columns in the table in a single action.
Important Enabling Collibra AI to generate descriptions does not automatically change or impact existing descriptions. Existing descriptions are updated only if someone removes a description manually, then uses the AI feature to generate a new suggestion, and approves it.
The general Collibra AI flow is as follows:
- When a user requests a description of an asset in Collibra, we send the request to a proxy.
- The Collibra AI proxy checks that the rate limit of a customer instance has not been reached and sends the request to the AI model.
- The AI model responds to the Collibra AI proxy.
- The Collibra AI proxy sends the answer to Collibra, where the answer is shown to the user.

- You can create up to 20 requests per minute per instance.
