Lifecycle management and AI Command Center
Note The content in this topic is nearly identical to the AI Governance Lifecycle management content. The only difference is the product name; this topic refers to AI Command Center.
Lifecycle management is a platform-wide feature that helps you manage an asset throughout its entire lifecycle, from creation to archive. For complete information on the feature, go to About Lifecycle management.
This topic covers the default Lifecycle management configuration specific to AI-related asset types, including the default lifecycle stages and lifecycle activities.
Lifecycle management for AI-related asset types
Lifecycle management is enabled by default for the following asset types. For all other asset types, it is disabled by default.
- AI Agent
- AI Agent Version
- AI Model Version
- AI Use Case
You can enable or disable Lifecycle management for individual asset types at any time using the Activate Lifecycle tracker toggle in the asset type's global assignment. For guidance, go to Configure the lifecycle stages for an asset type.
Default asset statuses
The following table shows the default asset statuses for each asset type for which Lifecycle management is enabled by default.
| Asset type | Default asset statuses |
|---|---|
| AI Agent |

| AI Agent Version |

For guidance on how to configure lifecycle stages, go to Configure the lifecycle stages for an asset type.
Tip To advance an asset to its next lifecycle stage, you need a resource role with the Asset > Lifecycle Management > Assessment permission on the relevant community or domain. Without this permission, the Status button is not shown on the asset page. For a complete overview of permissions, go to Lifecycle management roles and permissions.
Default lifecycle activities
The following table shows the default lifecycle activities configured for each asset type for which Lifecycle management is enabled by default.
For complete information, go to Configure lifecycle activities for an asset type.
| Asset type | Lifecycle stage | Assessments | Sign-off activities |
