Manually start the asset lifecycle

Under certain circumstances, for example if you import an asset, you have to manually start the lifecycle.

Prerequisites

• The Activate Lifecycle tracker option is selected in the Lifecycle tab of the asset type's global assignment.
• You have one of the following resource permissions on the asset or on the community or domain in which the asset is stored:
  • Asset > Update Status
  • Asset > Lifecycle Management > Update Status

Steps

1. Open the relevant asset page.
2. Click Start lifecycle.
   
   The Start lifecycle for <name> dialog box appears.
3. Click Start.
   The Lifecycle tracker is shown on the asset page and populated with the relevant lifecycle activities.
