What's New page

This feature is available only in the latest UI.

As an administrator, you can stay up to date with what is new in Collibra. The What's New page provides a curated, narrative-driven overview of some major updates and their benefits directly within the user interface. It ensures that you remain informed about new capabilities as soon as they are released, so you don't need to leave Collibra Platform or look for information elsewhere. The page also includes links to supporting resources for more guidance.

Currently, the What's New page is visible only to users with the System administration global permission.

Key benefits

• Integrated experience: Curated list of updates are shown directly within the Collibra user interface, so you don't need to search other resources.
• Narrative-driven updates: Updates are presented as narratives that highlight the practical benefit of the changes.
• Gateway to deeper learning: Each update includes links to supporting resources, such as Collibra documentation, Collibra University courses, and Collibra Community discussions, to deepen your learning.
• Flexible navigation: Filters on the page help you find specific content types or unread announcements.
• Long-term visibility: Updates remain available for about 6–9 months, even after an upgrade, giving you enough time to read them.

Opening the page

You can open the What's New page if you have a global role with the System administration global permission.

To open the What's New page, on the main toolbar, click → What's New.

Filtering the updates

The What's New page includes the following filters:

• Monthly: Filters the updates by release month.
• Category: Filters the updates by type, such as Adoption, Announcements, Coaching, Features, and Learning.

Understanding the updates

Each update on the What's New page is shown as a card, containing the following elements:

• Title and period: The update's title and release month and year.
• Category label: A label indicating the update's category, for example, Adoption.
• Summary and links: A brief description of the update's value and supporting links.
• View details: An expandable section with additional context.

What's New versus Release Notes

While release notes provide a comprehensive list of every new feature, enhancement, and fixed issue, the What's New page highlights some of the most impactful updates. It focuses on how key updates work together to improve your workflows, and provides specific resources to adopt them quickly.
