Set default language and locale

You can set the default language and locale of Collibra, which determines the language, as well as the format of dates, times and numbers.

Prerequisites

• You have a global role with the Product Rights > System administration global permission.
• Ensure that your environment uses the latest user interface.

Steps

1. On the main toolbar, click → Settings.
   The Settings page opens.
2. Click General.
3. In the tab pane, click Language and Locale.
4. Enter the required information:

   Setting	Description
   Language and Locale	The default language and locale of Collibra. Note Fully translated files are available starting from the production deployment of a release. The pre-production deployment does not include complete translations. See the Release Calendar for more information.
   Allow User Overrides	If Allow User Overrides is disabled, all users have the same language and locale, and they cannot change it themselves. If you enable this setting, each user can change their language in the profile settings.
   International Date Format	If International Date Format is disabled, dates are shown in the format of the selected language and locale. If you enable this setting, all dates are shown in the ISO-8601 (YYYY-MM-DD) format, regardless of the language and locale.
