Widget tab

Most dashboard widgets (for example, Bar Chart and Text) contain the Widget tab for configuring their appearance. The fields shown on the Widget tab are the same for those widgets.

Prerequisites

To manage your own dashboards: You have a global role that has the Manage your own Views, Dashboards, Search filters global permission.
To manage another user's dashboards: You have a global role that has the Manage shared Views, Dashboard and Search Filter global permission.

Steps

Open the dashboard containing the widget.
Click → Edit Dashboard.
On the widget, click → Configure.

The Widget tab is shown.

Widget tab fields

The following table describes the fields shown on the Widget tab.

Field	Description
Show title	True: Shows the default title on the widget. You can also enter your own title. False: Does not show the title on the widget.
Show description	True: Shows the default description on the widget, below the title. You can also enter your own description. False: Does not show the description on the widget.
Refresh	This field is shown only for the following widgets: Bar Chart, Collibra Insights, Counters, Most Visited, Tasks and Issues, and Text. True: Automatically refreshes the counter according to the refresh rate you select. False: Does not automatically refresh the counter.
Remove padding and border	This field is shown only for the following widgets: Collibra Insights, Embedded Webpage, Search, and Text. Tip Padding refers to the space between the content and the border of the container. If your widget contains an iframe, extra padding may not be needed because it could create a nested or confined appearance for the widget. True: Extra padding is removed and full size of the container is used to show content. False: Extra padding and the border are not removed.
