Before users can create Maestro agents in an environment, you need to enable Maestro Studio and give data stewards the required permissions.
Important This is a cloud-only feature. It is not supported for Collibra Platform for Government
or Collibra Platform Self-Hosted (CPSH) environments.
Prerequisites
- You have a global role with the Product Rights > System administration global permission.
- You have a global role with the Maestro Studio global permission.
Steps

On the main toolbar, click

Settings. - Click Maestro, or in the General section, click In Preview.
Both pages include the Maestro Studio and Assistant toggle. Changing the toggle on one page also updates the other. - Switch on the Maestro Studio and Assistant toggle. This setting lets you build and deploy custom AI agents that are accessible through Maestro Studio and gives your users access to Maestro Assistant.
- Assign the required global permissions to the relevant users and roles. For more information on the Maestro global global permissions, go to Maestro required permissions. Users with the Sysadmin global role already have the Maestro Studio and Maestro Chat permissions by default and don't need to be assigned them manually.
Note If you previously had Collibra AI Copilot enabled in your Collibra Platform, you will be automatically migrated to Maestro when Collibra AI Copilot is deprecated with the 2026.10 release.
