Before users can create Maestro agents in an environment, you need to enable Maestro Studio and give data stewards the required permissions.
Important This is a cloud-only feature. It is not supported for Collibra Platform for Government
or Collibra Platform Self-Hosted (CPSH) environments.
Prerequisites
- You have a global role with the Product Rights > System administration global permission.
- You have a global role with the Maestro Studio global permission.
Steps

On the main toolbar, click

Settings. - In the General section, click In Preview.
The In Preview page opens. - Switch on the Collibra AI Copilot toggle, if its not already enabled. This setting allows you to upgrade to Maestro Studio and Maestro Assistant.
- Switch on the Maestro Studio toggle. This setting allows you to build and deploy custom Maestro agents that are accessible through Maestro Studio.
- Switch on the Maestro Assistant toggle. The Maestro Assistant is a chat-based assistant that helps you find data assets, look up business definitions, and get answers from documentation.
- Assign the required global permissions to the relevant users and roles. For more information on the Maestro global global permissions, go to Maestro required permissions.
Note If you previously had Collibra AI Copilot enabled in your Collibra Platform, you will be automatically migrated to Maestro when Collibra AI Copilot is deprecated with the 2026.10 release.
