When Unified Data Classification predicts data classes for a column, the suggestions are shown in the Data Classification column in the Table and Column asset pages, and in asset views where the Data Classification column has been added.
- If no data classes are suggested for a column, the automatic data classification process could not predict the data class.
- Sometimes multiple data classes can be suggested.
- The percentage next to the data class indicates the confidence level of the suggestion.
If automatic data classification acceptance and rejection is active, some data classification suggestions with a confidence level within the defined thresholds can be accepted or rejected automatically. - You can accept or reject the data classification suggestions, or add a new data class.
- If you reject a data class suggestion, the data class is removed from the column.Important The system remembers when a data class suggestion has been rejected. This data class won't be suggested again by the data classification process.
Tip You can still retrieve a rejected data class by manually classifying the asset. The rejected data classes are listed at the end of the list.
- If you accept a data class suggestion, the data class is added to the column.Important The system remembers when a data class suggestion has been accepted. This data class won't be updated by the data classification process.
Tip Even when an asset has accepted or rejected data classes, the data classification process can run again for this asset. The next data classification will not suggest any accepted or rejected data classes again, but it will validate any new data classes that may apply to the asset.
- If you reject a data class suggestion, the data class is removed from the column.
Accept or reject a data classification suggestion manually
To accept or reject data classification suggestions, make sure you have the required permissions.
To manually accept a data class suggestion, click the Accept icon in the suggestion.
Once accepted, the suggestion icon disappears. 
To manually reject a data class suggestion, click the Reject icon.
The data class is removed from the column and won't be suggested again by the data classification.
Tip You can still retrieve a rejected data class by manually classifying the asset. The rejected data classes are listed at the end of the list.
