About Data Quality job import (in preview)

The DQ job import feature lets you promote data quality jobs from a non-production environment into a production Data Quality & Observability (cloud) environment. Cross-version migrations, such as Data Quality & Observability (self-hosted) 2026.05 to Data Quality & Observability (cloud) 2026.07, are supported. You access the import feature Settings > Data Quality > Import.

Before any changes are made, a guided wizard helps you:

  • Upload an export file created from the source environment.

  • Map the connection from your non-production environment to the target Data Quality & Observability (cloud) environment.

  • Review and resolve any conflicts per connection.

  • Confirm a summary of what will be imported before submitting.

After a successful import, the Import page logs the activity in an import history table. You can download a detailed report for each completed import to review outcomes and identify any configurations that were not fully supported.

Note The Import feature requires an export file created by Data Quality & Observability (cloud). You must first export data from Data Quality & Observability (cloud) before you can import it.

Import page

The Import page (Settings > Data Quality > Import) is the entry point for the import workflow. It contains:

  • A button to start a new import.

  • An import history table listing all past imports, with the date, status, and a link to download the import report for each entry.
