Attribute filter facets (beta)
Important This feature is available only in the latest UI.
You can make attributes and their values available as filter facets for Data Marketplace in Search.
Note Attribute filter facets don't affect standalone Data Marketplace.
Enable attribute filter facets
Prerequisites
- You have the ADMIN or SUPER role in Collibra Console.
Steps
- Open the DGC service settings for editing:
- Open Collibra Console.
Collibra Console opens with the Infrastructure page. - In the tab pane, expand an environment to show its services.
- In the tab pane, click the Collibra Platform service of that environment.
- Click Configuration.
- Click Edit configuration.
- Open Collibra Console.
- In the Search index configuration section, enable the Attribute filter facets setting.
Setting
Description
Attribute filter facets True: The Attribute facets tab becomes available on the Filter facets page in the Search settings. You can add filter facets based on attributes and make them available for Data Marketplace in Search.
False (default): Attribute-based filter facets can't be created.
- Click Save all.
Create an attribute filter facet
Prerequisites
- You have a global role that has the Product Rights > System administration global permission.
- The Attribute filter facets setting is enabled in your environment.
Steps

On the main toolbar, click
→
Settings.
The Collibra settings page opens. - In the Search section, click Filter facets.
The Filter facets page opens. - Select the Attribute facets tab.
- Click Add facet.
- From the drop-down list, select the attribute you want to add as a filter facet.
You can select attributes of the following kind:- Boolean, meaning true/false.
- Single value list, meaning single selection.
- Text (plain), meaning rich text attributes aren't available.
- Click Save.
The attribute facet is added. By default, the Public ID of the attribute type is used as the Filter name and Filter ID. - Make the filter facet available in Data Marketplace in Search.
- Select the All facets tab.
- If needed, change the Filter name for the filter facet.
This is the name that is shown in the facet pane. - Double-click the Visibility cell for the filter facet and select Yes.
- Click Save.

If, for a search, the attribute filter facet contains values, the facet will be shown on the search page for the Data Marketplace search tabs.
