Required permissions to view sample data

To view sample data for an asset, you need:

• View permission on the asset.
  View permission is required to access the asset in general.
• Resource permission: Asset > Data > View Samples.
  The View Samples permission is needed to see the sample data.

Note Users with the Manage all resources global permission can access the sample data of all resources, even if the View Samples resource permission is not defined for these users.

Tip 
In Table and Data Set assets, you see sample data only for columns for which you have the required permission. If you do not have access, you see the text <sensitive> in the column instead of sample data.
