Create a search filter

You can create a search filter from scratch.

Note When you create a search filter, the sorting and search fields are part of the saved configuration.

Create a search filter via the save icon

  1. Perform a search via the Search field or Search widget.
    The Search page appears.
  2. Optionally:
    1. Navigate and refine the search results by selecting from the available facets.
    2. Sort the search results.
    3. Select the fields in which to search.
  3. When you've achieved the desired results, click .
  4. Enter a name and description of the filter.
  5. Select with whom you want to share the filter.
    • Select Public, to share the filter with all users.
    • Select Private, to share the filter with no one. This is the default setting.
    • Select Share with specific global roles, groups and users, and then enter the relevant roles or groups.
  6. Click Save.
    The new filter is added to your list of filters.

Create a search filter via the "Add a new search filter" option

  1. Perform a search via the Search field or Search widget.
    The Search page appears.
  2. Click No search filter, and then select Add a new search filter.
  3. Enter a name and description of the filter.
  4. Select with whom you want to share the filter.
    • Select Public, to share the filter with all users.
    • Select Private, to share the filter with no one. This is the default setting.
    • Select Share with specific global roles, groups and users, and then enter the relevant roles or groups.
  5. Click Save.
    The new filter is added to your list of filters.
