Enable diagram features

Administrators can enable various diagram UIs and can activate a Collibra AI feature to generate picture descriptions automatically.

Prerequisites

You have the ADMIN or SUPER role in Collibra Console.

Steps

1. Open the DGC service settings for editing:

   1. Open Collibra Console.
      Collibra Consoleopens with the Infrastructure page.

   2. In the tab pane, expand an environment to show its services.

   3. In the tab pane, click the Data Governance Center service of that environment.

   4. Click Configuration.

   5. Click Edit configuration.

2. In the Diagrams section, configure the settings as needed:

New Diagram UI

True (default): The new diagram user interface (UI) is used in the latest UI. False: Old diagram UI is used in the latest UI.

AI Diagram Description

Setting to enable the use of Collibra AI to generate picture descriptions. The options are: True: Descriptions are automatically generated for diagram pictures in the latest UI. False (default): Descriptions aren't automatically generated for diagram pictures in the latest UI. Note This setting isn't applicable to the classic UI. Important This is a cloud-only feature. It is not supported for Collibra Platform for Government or Collibra Platform Self-Hosted (CPSH) environments.

1. If you want to activate the preview feature for the diagram UI: In the Beta section, enable the New diagram canvas setting.

   • True: Enable the new diagram canvas in the user interface. This setting takes priority over the New Diagram UI setting.

   • False (default): Disable the new diagram canvas in the user interface. The new diagram UI is shown.

     Note This setting isn't applicable to the classic UI.

1. Click Save all.
