You can share a dashboard with other users if, for example, the widgets in the dashboard contain information that could be useful to them. You can share a dashboard from a dashboard. If the Dashboard Ordering setting is enabled and you have the right permissions, you can change the sharing rules of multiple dashboards from the dashboard navigation pane.
Prerequisites
- To share a dashboard from a dashboard:
- If you want to share your own dashboard: Ensure that you have a global role with the Share your own Views, Dashboards, Search filters global permission.
- If you want to share another user's dashboard: Ensure that you have a global role with the Manage shared Views, Dashboard and Search Filter global permission.
- To share a dashboard using the Manage Dashboards page opened from the dashboard navigation pane:
- Ensure that the Dashboard Ordering setting is enabled.
- You have a global role with the Manage shared Views, Dashboard and Search Filter global permission.
Steps
If the Dashboard Ordering setting is disabled
- Open the dashboard.
- Click

The Share dialog box appears. - Specify with whom you want to share the dashboard and whether you want to make the dashboard the default dashboard for the users with whom you are sharing it.

- Click Save.
If the Dashboard Ordering setting is enabled
- Open any dashboard.

The Share dialog box opens. - Specify with whom you want to share the dashboard.

- Click Save.
From the dashboard navigation pane
- Open any dashboard.
- In the dashboard navigation pane, click
Manage Dashboards.
The Manage Dashboards page opens. - In the Shared With column, double click next to the current sharing rule for the dashboard you want to update.
The Update Sharing Rules of dialog box opens. - Specify with whom you want to share the dashboard. Tip For more information, go to Duplicate a dashboard.
- Click Save.
