Start a global workflow
You can start a workflow that is not linked to an asset, domain, or community from a dashboard or the global Create button if the workflow definition settings allow you to.
A dashboard usually shows a curated number of workflows as a list of buttons with the labels of workflows in na workflow widget.
The global Create button shows all workflows that have been configured to Show in global create and their descriptions in the Actions tab.
Prerequisites

You have a global role with the Start workflow global permission.
Note Users that have a global role with the Workflow Administration or System administration permission do not require this permission explicitly.
- You have one of the roles defined in the Start workflow definition setting or there is no role defined.
Steps
- If your dashboard includes a workflow widget, it shows a curated list of global workflows presented as buttons.
- Click the button of the workflow you wish to start.

The Create dialog box appears. - Click the Actions tab.
- Select the workflow you wish to start.
