Link related System assets to connections

This section shows you how to add related System assets from the Connections page. This ensures that the results of Data Quality Job runs on your connection are captured on a linked System asset page in Data Catalog.

There are two options for linking a connection to a System asset:

• Use Edge connection name: This option allows Collibra to use the name of the Edge connection to link to a related System asset of the same name in Data Catalog.
• Specify a system in Catalog: This option allows you to select an existing System asset in Data Catalog. Use this option when the Edge connection name does not match a related System asset in Data Catalog or when you need separate Edge connections for data quality and ingestion.

Prerequisites

• The Data Quality Pushdown Processing Edge capability is enabled for your data source.
• You have a global role with the Data Quality > Manage Data Sources global permission.

Link a related System asset with the Edge connection name

1. Open the Connections page.
2. Click a connection in the connections list.
The connection details are shown to the right of the connections list.
3. Click the Use Edge connection name option in the Find related assets section.
4. Click Save.
When a job runs on this connection, the results are linked in the System asset with the same name as your connection.

Link a related System asset that exists in Data Catalog

1. Open the Connections page.
2. Click a connection in the connections list.
The connection details are shown to the right of the connections list.
3. Click the Specify a system in Catalog option in the Find related assets section.
A drop-down list of available System assets appears.
4. Click the drop-down list and select a System asset from the options.
5. Click Save.
When a job runs on this connection, the results are linked in the System asset you select.
