Add or remove responsibilities from Data Quality Jobs

This section shows you how to add and remove custom responsibilities from Data Quality Jobs. Every responsibility includes a user or user group and a resource role.

Prerequisites

  • The DQ Pushdown Edge capability is enabled for your data source.
  • To add a responsibility, you must have a global role that has the Product Rights > System administration or Resources > Manage all resources global permission, or you have the Data Quality Job > Responsibilities - Add resource permission.
  • To remove a responsibility, you must have a global role that has the Product Rights > System administration or Resources > Manage all resources global permission, or you have the Data Quality Job > Responsibilities - Remove resource permission.

Add a responsibility

  1. Open the Job Details page of your Data Quality Job and click the Responsibilities tab.
  2. In the upper-right corner, click Add.
  3. The Add responsibility dialog box appears.
  4. Select a resource role from the Role drop-down list.
  5. Select one or more users or user groups from the Users or groups drop-down list.
  6. Click Save.
  7. The users or user groups are granted access to the Data Quality Job based on the privileges of their resource role, and are shown on the Responsibilities tab.

Remove a responsibility

  1. Open the Job Details page of your Data Quality Job and click the Responsibilities tab.
  2. Hover your pointer over the name of a user or user group in a resource role.
  3. Note You cannot remove an inherited responsibility from the Job Details page. To remove an inherited responsibility, you must remove the user or user group from the resource role on the Connections page.

  4. Click Trash icon.
  5. A confirmation message appears.
  6. Click Remove Responsibility.
  7. The user or user group is removed from the resource role.
