Set or reset a user password
As a regular user, you can reset your own password. Administrators can set or reset the passwords of all users.
Important You can only reset the password of users that were created manually.
You can view the default password requirements in the Service configuration options.

On the main toolbar, click
your avatar → Profile.
Your profile page appears.
- In the upper-right corner, click Reset Password.
You receive a password reset email.
Note The password reset link is valid by default for 60 minutes.
To set or reset the password of another user, you must have a global role with the User Administration or the System Administration global permission, such as Sysadmin.

The Collibra settings page opens. - Click Users and Subscriptions.
The Users tab page opens. - In the row of the user whose password you want to set or reset, click
.
The Password Reset dialog box appears. - Choose how you want to set or reset the password.
Option Description Email a link to the user.
Send an email to the user and let them set a new password.
Note The password reset link is valid by default for 60 minutes. You can edit the length of the validity in Collibra Console.
Specify a new password.
Set a password yourself.
Note If you set the password of an inactive account, their password status changes to Set
