Create a view permission

Important

In Collibra 2024.05, we've launched a new user interface (UI) for Collibra Data Intelligence Platform! You can learn more about this latest UI in the UI overview.

Use the following options to see the documentation in the latest UI or in the previous, classic UI:

You can create a view permission if you don't want all users to see certain resources.

Note There is a limitation on how many domain view permissions you can create. Domain view permissions cease at 65,000. Remember, when you set permissions to a community, those permissions also apply to all the domains within that community. Also, domains can be different per user in an organization.

Prerequisites

  • You have a resource role with the Edit View Permissions resource permission, for example Community Manager.
  • None of the parent communities or children of the current resource have a view permission.

Steps

  1. Open a community or domain page.
  2. In the tab panebar, click Responsibilities.
    The Responsibilities page appears.
  3. Above the table, to the right, click Add.
The Add view permissions dialog box appears.
  4. In the Users or Groups field, start typing the name of the user or user group.
  5. Select a user or user group from the suggestions.
  6. Click Add.
