Audit and troubleshoot
Data Access tracks all the changes that are made to access controls and groups, helping you investigate them when needed. It also helps you identify, monitor, and troubleshoot synchronization errors and other configuration issues.
View audit logs or issues
To view audit logs or issues for the entities that you own (or whose data objects you own), on the Data Access landing page, in the left pane, click MONITORING > Audit or Issues. This opens the Audit or Issues page.
You can view all audit logs or issues only if you have a global role with the Data Access > View All Access And Usage or Data Access > Manage All Access global permission, for example, the Data Access Observer or Data Access Manager global role.
The Audit page
You can use the Audit page to view a comprehensive audit trail of all your entities, such as groups, roles, column masks, row filters, and filter rules. The page shows:
- The dates and times when the audit logs were generated.
- The names of the users who last modified the entities.
- The entities that are associated with the audit logs.
- The sources of changes, such as Collibra, a data source, or automation.
- The types of changes, such as whether the entities were created, updated, or deleted.
The Issues page
You can use the Issues page to monitor, identify, and troubleshoot issues with your access controls. The page shows:
- The entities with issues.
- The types of issues, such as missing accounts, sync errors, and dynamic rule errors.
- The messages that explain why the issues occurred.
- The dates and times when the issues occurred.
- The levels of issues, such as error, information, recommendation, and warning.
