Create Azure connection

After configuring Microsoft Entra ID permissions for Data Access, create an Azure connection from an Edge or Collibra Cloud site to the Microsoft Entra ID data source. This connection acts as a bridge between Data Access and your underlying data source.

Prerequisites

• You have configured the data source permissions for Data Access.
• You have a global role with the Edge > Manage connections and capabilities global permission, for example, Edge integration engineer.
• You have an Edge site or a Collibra Cloud site whose status is Healthy and version is 2026.03.21-18 or newer.

Steps

1. Open the Edge or Collibra Cloud site:
   1. On the main toolbar, click > Settings.
      The Settings page opens.
   2. In the Edge section, click Sites.
      
   3. Click the name of the site.
2. Click Create Connection.
3. In the Create Connection dialog box, select Azure connection.
   
4. Enter the required information, and then click Create.
   The Microsoft Entra ID connection is created.
