If you are an administrator, you can use the Embedded Webpage widget to embed a webpage on a dashboard by using an iframe.
Important Whether or not a third-party webpage can be embedded is determined by the security settings of the third party.
Configure the Embedded Webpage widget
Prerequisites
- To manage your own dashboards: You have a global role with the Manage Your Own Views, Dashboards, Search Filters global permission.
- To manage another user's dashboards: You have a global role with the Manage Shared Views, Dashboards, Search Filters global permission.
- Install the Embedded Webpage widget.
Steps
- Open the widget for configuration.
- On the Content tab, enter the required information.
Field Description Address of the webpage you want to show on the dashboard. Run in sandbox Important This option is selected by default. Although optional, it does add an extra layer of security.Running the webpage in the sandbox mode ensures the following:
- Access to your local files and computer system are blocked.
- Form submissions are blocked.
- Scripts cannot run.
- APIs are disabled.
- Links cannot target other browsing contexts.
- Plugins (like
<embed>,<object>, or<applet>) are not allowed. - The content cannot navigate to the top-level browsing context, or the primary browser window or tab.
- Automatically triggered features, like videos or form controls, are blocked.
- On the Widget tab, enter the required information.
- On the widget, click Save.
