Move BI assets to a different domain

The Domain ID determines the domain where Collibra Data Lineage creates and maintains BI assets.

If you change the Domain ID and synchronize the technical lineage capability, Collibra Data Lineage moves all existing BI assets associated with the data source to the new domain. Collibra Data Lineage manages the domain assignment for the BI assets.

If you move these assets manually in the Collibra UI, the next synchronization restores them to the domain specified by the Domain ID or may create duplicate assets.

To move BI assets to a different domain

Complete the following steps:

1. Update the Domain ID field in the technical lineage capability and, if applicable, the domainId property in the source configuration.
2. Synchronize the technical lineage lineage capability.

During synchronization, Collibra Data Lineage moves the existing BI assets from the current domain to the new domain.
