Steps: Integrate OpenAI
The following overview provides a sequential path to prepare your OpenAI environment. You can configure the connection and then synchronize the metadata in Collibra.
-
You can configure Edge connections and capabilities without an active AI Governance license. However, AI Governance must be enabled to harvest AI model metadata, ingest corresponding AI assets in Data Catalog, and access the dashboards and features necessary to visualize and govern your AI landscape.
- You can integrate OpenAI only via Edge.
-
To use the OpenAI integration, you need Collibra Platform 2026.09 or newer.
-
Important A separate Edge connection is required for each OpenAI project. OpenAI API keys are scoped to a single project, so a key issued in one project cannot access another. Create one connection per project, each using the API key for that specific project.
