Check the data classification suggestion for an asset

After the automatic data classification process runs, data classification suggestion for columns are available in multiple places. You can access classification information from the Table or Column asset page, and from asset views where the Data Classification column has been added.
If Guided Stewardship is enabled, you can also view the suggestions from the Semantic Assistant page. For more information, go to About the Semantic Layer submenu in Stewardship.

Prerequisites

The automatic classification process is run for the relevant table, or column.

Steps from a Column asset

  1. Open the relevant Column asset.

    The Data Classification field is available in the At a glance sidebar.

Steps from a Table, Schema, or Database asset

  1. Open the relevant Table, Schema, or Database asset.
  2. Navigate to the Table asset.
  3. Open the Columns section on the Summary tab.
  4. Add the Data Classification column to the table.

    In the Data Classification column, the suggested data classes are shown.

Steps from asset views

  1. Open the view where you see the columns.
  2. If not yet available, add the Data Classification column to the view.
