Diagram general properties
The General Properties section is used to define the overall look and feel of a diagram. This section appears when you edit a diagram view and select a node or edge.
In Collibra 2025.06, we launched a new user interface (UI) for Diagrams in the latest UI! You can learn more about this new diagram UI in Diagrams.
Use the following options to see the documentation for the new diagram UI or for the old diagram UI:

Layout |
Layout of your diagram view. |

Indicates which nodes and edges need to be traversed and shown. |
Depth | Flow relation path length from the start flow node set to any other flow node. |
Overview |
Shows or hides the overview inset in the initial diagram. |
Filters | Shows or hides the filters in the diagram. |
Labels | Shows or hides the edge and node labels in the initial diagram. |
Overlays | Shows or hides the characteristics of a node. |
Legend | Shows or hides the legend in the initial diagram. |
Preview | Shows or hides the preview in the initial diagram. |
Max node label length |
Maximum number of characters for node labels. If a label is longer than this value, it is truncated. The default setting is 50. Enter 0 if you always want to show the entire label. |
Max edge label length |
Maximum number of characters for edge labels. If a label is longer than this value, it is truncated. The default setting is 30. Enter 0 if you always want to show the entire label. |
