AI Command Center: Configure the behavior of the Register AI use case button

The Register AI Use Case button is shown in the AI Command Center Registry.

Button behavior options Description
Keep default behavior (default)

By default, clicking the button opens the Register AI Use Case page, which prompts the user to provide a name, asset type, description, domain, and Owner for the new AI Use Case asset.

For complete information, go to Register an AI use case.

Note In the past, clicking the Register AI use case button triggered the out-of-the-box "Register AI Use Case" workflow. That workflow is deprecated and will be removed in a future version of Collibra. The workflow was replaced by a backend implementation and dedicated APIs, to create the AI Use case asset.

Replace with a custom workflow

In Settings, you can change the behavior so that when a user clicks Register AI Use Case, a workflow starts. You can select any enabled workflow in your Collibra environment. With this option, no asset is created. As such, there is no asset for which:

  • An Owner can be assigned.
  • An assessment can be started.
  • Llifecycle management can be started.
Important
  • The user that clicks Register AI Use Case must have a global role that has the Workflow > Start workflow global permission.
  • If the selected workflow is disabled or no longer exists in your Collibra environment, an error is generated.

Requirements and permissions

  • You have a global role with the Product Rights > System administration global permission. The out-of-the-box AI Governance Admin global role has this permission.
