Add attribute types by which to sort search results

To sort search results by attribute type, you first have to add the applicable attribute types.

Note In the context of sorting search results, only attribute types of the kind Number are applicable.

Prerequisites

You have a global role that has the System administration global permission.

Steps

1. In the main menu, click , then Settings.
   The System tab page appears.
   In the main menu, click Settings.
2. In the tab pane, click Search.
   The Sort options page appears.
3. Click Add.
4. In the Sort option label field, enter the name of the relevant attribute type.
5. In the Attribute type UUID field, enter the UUID of the relevant attribute type.
   
   Tip See Find the resource ID of an attribute type.
6. To add more attribute types, click Add, and the repeat steps 3 and 4 for the additional attribute types.
7. Click Save.
   Users are now able to select these attribute types to sort search results.
