About asset filters
Asset filters enable you to quickly find the data you need in Collibra by limiting the number of assets shown in a table or a set of tiles. You can find the filter option on almost every page containing data. Filters become more useful as the number of assets in Collibra grows, because they let you narrow a large table or set of tiles down to only the assets that match your criteria.
A filter consists of one or more filter conditions. Each condition combines a filter criterion, a logical operator, and one or more values. The filter criteria are grouped as follows:
- Properties: All the asset properties in Collibra, for example, asset type, name, and tags.
- Attributes: All the asset attributes in Collibra, for example, definition, note, and quality.
- Relations: All the relations in Collibra.
- Roles: All the resource roles defined in Collibra, for example, Assignee, Business Steward, and Requester.
You can combine multiple filter conditions by using the logical AND and OR operators and parentheses. For the filter criteria, operators, filter rules, and the steps to create a filter, go to Filters.
You can save a view after you apply a filter, so you can reuse it later.
In the classic UI, you filtered data by creating basic filters with conditions that were always combined with the logical AND operator or by selecting advanced filters. You can still view and edit basic filters in the current filter pane, which is the equivalent of advanced filters.
