Use Microsoft Teams with Collibra
Once the Microsoft Teams integration is set up, you can start using Teams with Collibra to:
- Receive Collibra notifications in the Collibra app.
- Reply to Collibra comments in the Collibra app.
- Search for and share Collibra data in a Teams conversation, such as a chat or channel.
Receive notifications
You receive notifications in the Teams app for specific alerts and actions in the Collibra Platform. The text in a Teams notification is the same as that in a Collibra email.
Note Teams removes any unsupported formatting from a comment, but it remains visible in Collibra.
Reply to comments
You can reply to resource and assessment comments via Teams.
- You can’t reply to a deleted message.
- If a comment is resolved, you need to reopen it in Collibra before replying.
- In the Collibra app in Teams, click Reply in the comment notification.
A dialog box appears. - Enter your comment, and then click Submit.
A green checkmark and the text of your reply are shown in Teams. Your reply is shown on the resource or assessment page in Collibra.
Search for and share Collibra data
You can search for and share Collibra data in a Teams chat or channel. When you share an asset, a link to the asset is shown in the Teams notification. The search results are identical to those from the search page in Collibra Platform.
You can only search for or share assets. You can't search for or share users, user groups, domains, or communities.
- From a chat or channel, click the + icon in the Teams message bar to open the Actions and Apps menu.
- Select the Collibra app.
- Search within the dialog box by entering your search term and clicking the Search button.
- If needed, filter the results by the top asset types or tags. To apply filters, click the Search button again.
Note The result count shown is based on your initial search. It does not update when another filter is selected.
- Optional, to share the results:
- Click Share.
- If necessary, enter text in the message.
- Click Send.
- Click Close.
