Update Edge service account credentials

When you download the Edge site installer, a dedicated service account is created in Collibra Platform. This service account is used to authenticate your Collibra Platform to your Edge site through OAuth2 authentication.

You can rotate these credentials by downloading and reinstalling your Edge site.

If you have a Collibra Platform Self-Hosted or an Air-gapped Edge site, your Edge site authenticates with Collibra Platform via basic authentication. For more information, go to our CPSH documentation.

Prerequisites

The Edge user account must have the Connect Edge to Collibra global permission.

Steps

1. Go to the Edge site for which you want to update the OAuth2 credentials.
   1. On the main toolbar, click → Settings.
      The Settings page opens.
   2. In the tab pane, click Edge.
      The Sites tab opens and shows a table with an overview of your sites.
   3. In the site overview, click the name of a site.
      The site page appears.
2. Click Site actions > Redownload installer.
3. Reinstall your Edge site.
   You can find your new Client ID and Client Secret in the /resources/manifests/edge-secret.yaml file.
