Connect an ADLS File System asset to the Edge capability
To retrieve data from Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), you can create a connection between the ADLS File System asset and Edge capability you want to use. You must do this after registering a new ADLS File System.
You can also edit the connection settings, for example, if you want to use another capability than the one you originally used.
Prerequisites
In your Collibra environment:
- You have added an Edge capability with the ADLS capability template.
- You have registered an ADLS file system.
- You have a resource role with the Configure external system resource permission, for example, Owner.
- You have a global role with the Catalog global permission, for example, Catalog Author.
- You have a global role with the View Edge connections and capabilities global permission, for example, Edge integration engineer.
Steps
- Open the ADLS File System asset.
- In the tab bar, click Configuration.
- In the Connection Details section, click Edit.
- In the , select the Edge capability to which you want to link this asset.
In the list, both the Edge connection and capability name are displayed. For example: edge-qa > adls1-synch. - Click Save.
You can now create crawlers for metadata synchronization.
