About table display mode

In table display mode, each row in the table represents an asset. You can filter a table by or by using About asset filters.

The following table describes the various elements shown in a CPSH table.

1 Name and description (if available) of the current view, and an option to select another view.

discards the draft and replaces it with the last published version of the view.

edits the name and description of the view.

publishes or duplicates the view.

shares the view.

deletes the view.

Tip The text Draft indicates that you have edited the view.

opens the filter pane, which you can use to limit the number of assets shown in the view.

The following buttons are enabled only when you select the checkboxes next to the rows:

  • Delete deletes the selected assets.
  • Move moves the selected assets to a different domain.
  • Validate runs validation rules that may be assigned to the types of the selected assets.
Tip You may see additional buttons that start a workflow for the selected assets. Only the workflows that are applicable to the selected assets are available.

imports assets or complex relations.

exports assets or complex relations.

enables or disables hierarchy.

Tip If you enable the hierarchy, a selection of assets is shown in a tree structure based on their relation type. If you select only one relation type, CPSH builds the hierarchy as deeply as possible, traversing occurrences of that single relation type as often as it can.

refreshes the table.

customizes the columns. You can rename the column headings, show or hide columns, and define the order in which the columns are shown in the table.

shows the full text (wraps) or trims the text in all the cells of the table.

shows the assets as a set of tiles.

shows a preview of the asset whose cell (not the checkbox) you clicked.

Tip 
  • You can sort the columns in ascending or descending order.
  • You can apply or clear a column filter.
  • You can filter on multiple column headings at once.

Asset field values.

Tip You can edit the value in a cell by double-clicking the cell. You can also apply your change to either the selected assets (if any) or all the assets visible in the table. This action cannot be undone.

Tip You can select all the visible assets in the table by selecting the checkbox next to the column headings.

  • An indicator of how many rows are shown per page. You can change this number by clicking the drop-down list and selecting the number you want.

  1. On the content toolbar, click Change Display ModeTiles.
