Collibra Platform Self-Hosted getting started

Thank you so much for your continued support of our vision to do more with trusted data. This section of the documentation helps explain updates we've made to our self-hosted solution so you can quickly orient yourself. This is not intended to be a comprehensive guide, but should serve as a good starting point for experiencing everything that Collibra Platform Self-Hosted has to offer.

How to upgrade from 5.9.1 (or later) to CPSH 2025.10?

Upgrading to the latest version of Collibra Platform Self-Hosted is intended to be seamless. Follow our documentation to see how little has changed in the upgrade process!

Note If you are using Data Quality & Observability Classic on-premises, we recommend you upgrade to at least the 2023.09 release. There are several key fixes in that version which make your upgrade much more seamless.

New features in 2025.10

It wouldn't be a new release if it didn't have new features! As part of our effort to deliver more for our CPSH customers, we've added new features for you. Expect to see more from us very shortly as we continue to improve this product.

  • Data Marketplace

  • Data Quality & Observability

    • Your deployment now includes Data Quality & Observability! As part of our unified CPSH, this feature ensures only reliable, high-quality data exists across your landscape. You can now automate monitoring, gain powerful profiling insights, and receive automatic notifications for data quality events.

For complete details, see the product documentation.

Note To enable Data Quality & Observability in your environment, contact your Collibra Account Team.

    • The Edge capabilities enabled for CPSH include:
      • Catalog JDBC ingestion
      • JDBC Profiling
      • Catalog Data Classification
      • Catalog JDBC Sampling

      • DQ Connector

Major changes from 5.9.x to 2025.10

CPSH 2025.10 brings many code updates, resulting in enhanced security, new features, and improved stability. See a list of the biggest changes here:

  • Monitoring service: We've replaced the Monitoring service with a more robust, more standard monitoring mechanism. The Monitoring service was constrained and highly prescriptive. With our new logging and monitoring setup, you can ingest data into your own alerting and visualization systems as you please. For more information about diagnostic files, go to the Platform Configuration section.
  • API v1 Endpoints: We’re in the process of upgrading our API services to v2. As a result, some of the supported APIs have changed with CPSH.
  • Asset Import UI: The Asset Import UI has changed. It uses version 2 of the Import API for better performance, with a refreshed interface and more intuitive mapping.
  • Workflows: Version 1 of the Collibra Core Java API is deprecated. Additionally, some out-of-the-box workflows may no longer be available to edit without access to the Workflow Designer.
  • Homepage: CPSH customers do not have access to the Most Viewed Assets and Recommended Assets sections of the product as both cloud features rely on a piece of software we are unable to ship externally. We’ll review possible ways to make this available in the future for CPSH customers!
  • User Licenses: Our model changed from the previous self-hosted release so that Standard Users now come in two types: Effective and Required. More information is available in our documentation.
