Create a Sigma connection to an Edge site (private preview)
Required permissions
- You have a global role that has the Manage Edge sites global permission.
- You have a global role that has the Manage connections and capabilities global permission.
- You have a resource role with the Configure external system resource permission, for example, Owner.
Steps
- Open a site.

On the main toolbar, click

Settings.
The Settings page opens. -
In the tab pane, click Edge.
The Sites tab opens and shows a table with an overview of your sites. - In the site overview, click the name of a site.
The site page appears.

In the Connections section, click Create Connection.
The Create Connection dialog box appears. - Select Sigma connection.
- Enter the required information.
Field Description Required Name The name of the connection. The name can be anything, as long as it is unique.
Tip The name that you provide here is the name you have to select in the Sigma connection field, when adding the Sigma Synchronization capability to the Edge or Collibra Cloud site.

- Navigate to Administration > Developer access.
- In the Developer section, locate and copy the API base URL.

- Navigate to Administration > Accounts > General Settings.
- In the General Settings section, locate and copy the Tenant URL.

How to find the Client ID and Client Secret- Log in to your Sigma instance.
- Navigate to Administration > Developer access.
- In the Developer section, click Create New.
The Create client credentials dialog box appear.
- Select Rest API and Embedding.
- Enter values in the Name and Description (optional) fields, and specify an Owner.
- Click Create.
The Access Credentials dialog box appears.
- Copy and paste the Client ID and Secret in a secure location. They will not be visible again.
