Add the ThoughtSpot synchronization capability (private preview)

You can add the ThoughtSpot synchronization capability to an Edge or Collibra Cloud site to enable metadata synchronization between ThoughtSpot and Collibra.

Prerequisites

Ensure that the requirements are met in both the Collibra and ThoughtSpot environments.

In your Collibra environment

• You have created a connection to ThoughtSpot in your Edge or Collibra Cloud site.
• You have a global role that has the Manage connections and capabilities global permission, for example, Edge integration engineer.
• You have a global role with the Catalog global permission, for example, Catalog Author.
• You have a resource role with the Configure external system resource permission, for example, Owner.

In your ThoughtSpot environment

• You have identified the ThoughtSpot Orgs you plan to synchronize if filtering is required.
• You have verified that the credentials used in the connection have the necessary API permissions for the target content.

Steps

1. Open a site.
   1. On the main toolbar, click → Settings.
      The Settings page opens.
   2. In the tab pane, click Edge.
      The Sites tab opens and shows a table with an overview of your sites.
   3. In the table, click the name of the site whose status is Healthy.
      The site page opens.
2. In the Capabilities section, click Add capability.
   The Add capability page appears.
3. Select the Thoughtspot Synchronization (Preview) capability template.
4. Enter the required information.

   ThoughtSpot Connection	Select the ThoughtSpot connection you created.	Yes
   Save Input Metadata	Select the checkbox if you want to save the input metadata extracted from the data source in ZIP files. The files can be useful for troubleshooting. Select this option only on request of Collibra Support. If this option is selected, you can download the files from the Synchronization Result dialog box once the synchronization activity is completed.	No
   Logging configuration Memory (MiB) JVM arguments	These fields are configuration options that can help when investigating issues with the capability. Important Use these fields only at the request of Collibra Support.	No
   Debug	This setting is not valid for this integration. It should be set to false.	No
   Log level	Only complete this field on the request of or together with Collibra Support.	No

5. Click Create.
   The capability is added to the Edge or Collibra Cloud site.
   The fields become read-only.
