Wrap the text in table cells

Wrapping the text makes the text in the cells of a table span multiple lines, allowing you to read the complete text within the cells, without having to adjust the column width.

Use the following options to see the documentation in the latest UI or in the previous, classic UI:

Wrap the text in one cell

Wrapping the text in one cell of a table automatically wraps the text in all the cells within the same row of the table.

Steps

  1. Open a view in table display mode.
  2. Hover your pointer over the cell, and then click .
    Complete text is shown in all the cells within the same row of the table.

    Note This text wrapping is lost when you refresh the page.

Wrap the text in all cells

Before you begin

Ensure that hierarchy is disabled.

Steps

  1. Open a view in table display mode.
  2. On the content toolbar, click Wrap Text.
    If the table previously showed more than 20 rows, only 20 rows are now shown per page.
    Complete text is shown in all the cells of the table.
  3. If you want to save this text wrapping, on the view toolbar, click Save.

Tip You can undo the text wrapping by changing the number of rows shown per page.
