Change the column order

You can change the order in which the columns are shown in a table.

Note If you enable hierarchy, the Name column is shown as the leftmost column in the table and it is fixed.

Use the following options to see the documentation in the latest UI or in the previous, classic UI:

Steps

  1. Open a view in table display mode.
  2. On the content toolbar, click → Edit Fields.
    The Fields dialog box appears.
  3. Click .
    The Edit Fields dialog box appears.
  4. Drag that is next to the column you want to reposition and drop it to the required position.
  5. Hover your pointer over the column you want to reposition.
    and a drop-down menu appear.
  6. Do one of the following:
    • Drag to the position you want.
    • Click the drop-down menu, and then select one of the following options.
      OptionDescription
      TopMoves the current column to the top.
      BottomMoves the current column to the bottom.
      Before > [select a column]Moves the current column to the position immediately preceding the selected column.
  7. Click Save.
