Fixes for Collibra Data Governance Center 5.7.0-60
Asset management
- When you upgrade your environment, the issue category can no longer have more than one global assignment.
- Permissions are now taken into account when you attempt to edit complex relations.
- Attributes on an asset page no longer appear as editable if you don't have the required permission.
- You can no longer edit the system legs, such as role or asset type, or attribute types of a complex relation type.
- Removing an attribute of a complex relation type no longer causes an error.
- You can now use the quick filters in the files table of an asset page.
- When you delete an asset's characteristic that is used in an articulation score, the articulation score progress bar is now automatically updated.
- If you have the permission to edit the asset type of an asset, you can now change it to any other asset type.
- When you move a community or domain to a parent community that has view permissions, the view permissions of the child community or domain are now removed.
- When you add a characteristic using keyboard navigation, focus in the Add characteristic dialog box is now on the Search button instead of the Close button.
- You can no longer add a duplicate attribute type to a complex relation type.
- When you create a new asset type, the notification now contains a link to the created asset type page.
- The files table on an asset page is now paginated.
- If you apply a filter on the files table on an asset page, the correct number of files is now shown.
- You now receive a meaningful error message if you add two relations with identical roles and co-roles in a complex relation type.
- You can now download a file that was uploaded to Collibra Data Governance Center, via the relevant hyperlink on an asset page.
Catalog
- Table assets that have a column with the name "ID" now correctly show the sample data, instead of the UUID of the sample entity.
- Non-Sysadmin users with the correct resource permissions can now access Tableau via Data Set asset pages.
- Performing an ingestion with profiling enabled now shows an error message if the profiling fails, for example due to a message-size error.
- An out-of-memory error during a Jobserver job no longer blocks subsequent Jobserver jobs.
- Collibra DGC, Jobserver jobs and Jobserver client processes no longer keep running if there is an out-of-memory error related to the Spark context.
- A profiling job involving an Excel file no longer fails due to an unsupported formula in the file.
- If ingestion fails, any updates to hyperlinking and indexing are undone and asset updates are canceled.
- Refreshing an ingestion no longer fails if you clear the profiling and sampling options.
- The connection to a JDBC source for ingestion or profiling is now correctly stored in the log files.
- Users with the ADMIN role can now also edit the Jobserver configuration in Collibra Console.
- Basic data type detection is now consistent for integers that are stored in a string column or in an integer column. Both now result in whole numbers and decimal numbers.
- Profiling a Date data set now detects the minimum and maximum date and shows this information on the relevant asset page.
- Failed data profiling jobs no longer have the status Completed.
- There is now a timeout for connections from the Data Governance Center service to the Jobserver service.
- Translated asset statuses no longer cause errors in workflows.
- A Jobserver service running on a faulty node, for example full disk, no longer causes the data source registration wizard to stop responding.
- Data samples are now the same if the data source and profiling options have not changed.
- Restoring a backup from which the asset types System, Schema or Database have been deleted, or from which the global assignment for one of these asset types has been deleted, no longer results in an unresponsive environment. However, if you restore such a backup, you won't be able to use Data Catalog. You will have to manually restore the out-of-the-box metamodel to start using Data Catalog again.
Global Create
- Domain types and asset types are now shown in alphabetical order in the global create dialog box.
Import and export
- Importing a table view that contains the Tag column now correctly shows the Tag column.
- When you are executing an import operation, an other user can now edit the operating model at the same time.
- The import summary now correctly categorizes imported relations.
- When you import an asset that has over 1,000 related assets, and the purpose of the import is to remove some of those relations, the removal is now correctly carried out.
- Import commands are now validated to ensure they don't violate "idempotence" rules.
- After an upgrade to Collibra DGC 5.7, there are no longer views with an empty lastModifiedBy column.
- Exporting no longer fails if you turn off hierarchy in a table view.
- Japanese characters are now correctly shown in exported CSV files when opened in Excel.
- Collibra DGC no longer stops responding when you export a very large number of assets to Excel or CSV.
Migration
- When you migrate an enabled workflow, it is now enabled on the target environment too.
- When you migrate a characteristic with unlimited cardinality (null), it is no longer updated on the target environment if that cardinality has an other value.
- The migration of a scoped assignment to a target environment that does not yet have the global assignment no longer fails.
- Migration import report file names now contain the used archive file name.
Data Privacy
- All attributes that you configured during the onboarding of a Business Process asset now appear on the relevant Business Process asset page.
- In the CCPA tab of relevant Business Process assets, correct values are now shown for the following attributes:
- Commercial purpose attribute
- Opt out from selling personal information attribute
- PIA Assessment - PIA Required?
- Last PIA Assessment Date
- Any edits you make to the description of a Community are now saved when you click Save.
- The Processing Activity workflow has been deprecated.
- Starting the GDPR - DPIA Threshold workflow no longer produces a diagram render failure error.
- Hard exception questions are now included in the CCPA - PIA Threshold workflow.
- In the Business Process General Wizard workflow, the button labels now correctly match the options described in the task bar text.
- The icons on the Privacy dashboard no longer overlap.
REST API
- Bulk deletion of communities and domains no longer fails for non-existent IDs.
- View permissions are now taken into account when attempting to retrieve communities.
- Bulk deleting statuses that don't have IDs now correctly results in a 400 error code, instead of a 500 error code.
- Bulk updating statuses that have empty strings as names now correctly results in a 400 error code, instead of a 500 error code.
- In API v2, you can no longer abuse the Issue API to create assets of an other type.
- The default limit of shown activities has increased from 100 to 1,000.
- The REST API v2 to sign in is now compatible with CSRF tokens.
- You can now retrieve the correct Last Modified Date of an assignment.
- API calls that use an invalid ID now return a 404 response, instead of a 500 response.
Search
- The API for views contains a converter to allow search filters to be backwards compatible with the old search engine. The converter no longer breaks the dashboard views.
- You can now retry a search query without changing the search options.
- The date attribute is now correctly shown on the search results page.
- An expanded list of facets now correctly collapses if the Clear all button is clicked.
- When you search for imported assets, the asset characteristics no longer appear twice on the result page.
- The Show less button is now shown only when applicable.
- In the Select fields dialog box, the obsolete field Rating has been removed.
- Invalid search queries no longer result in duplicate error messages.
- The search results tiles for Collibra DGC users are now correctly formatted.
- When you go to the next page of search results, the focus is now on the top of the page.
Users, user groups, roles and permissions
- When you delete a community, the linked view permissions are now also deleted.
- If an attempted LDAP synchronization fails because the User Base property is not defined in the LDAP configuration, the error is now shown in the log files.
- When using LDAP, Active Directory Referrals are now correctly ignored when the ignore option is enabled in Collibra Console.
- First name, last name and email address are no longer required if you are using a SAML identity provider for authentication.
- Disabled LDAP users can no longer sign in to Collibra DGC.
- If you use SAML, you can now disable the validation of the SubjectConfirmationData Address attribute in the assertion.
- The global permissions assigned to the Community Manager resource role have been removed.
- If you upgrade from version Collibra DGC 4.x to 2025.04, any responsibilities that were created for domains that are no longer included in the out-of-the-box operating model, are now deleted.
- LDAP users are now disabled after three failed sign-in attempts, as are normal Collibra DGC users.
- When LDAP is enabled and group mapping is configured, you no longer see the Add button in the user group settings.
- Changes to a user's email address or language setting are now shown in the user's history.
- When you attempt to move a community or domain, Collibra DGC now checks the create permission of the target community or domain before the actual move.
- The number of users in Collibra DGC is now correct shown on all pages. A full search reindex might be required.
Validation rules
- Running validation rules on a large number of assets no longer causes the validation results page to be temporarily empty.
Views
- When you delete a community, all views for the community are now also deleted.
- When editing table views, the table view editor of the previously opened table is no longer shown.
- When you add a relation field to an asset table view, the field description now also shows the head and tail of the relation.
- Norwegian characters are now shown correctly in asset tables.
- You can no longer add a column to an asset table view if the column is not included in the scope.
- Improved the loading of hierarchy views.
- The expand icon is now consistently shown for all table view configurations.
Workflows
- The Cancel and Reassign actions are no longer available to users without permissions to perform these actions.
- You can now edit the variables of the Issue Management workflow.
- If you edit the Start label and change the setting of the "This workflow can only run once..." option, the setting of the "This workflow can only run once..." option is now correctly saved.
- Whether you start a workflow from a dashboard or the global create, if an error occurs, the title of the error message dialog box is now the same.
- If a workflow fails, an error is now always shown.
- In worfklow forms, you can now select dates before 1968 and after 2068.
- If a workflow creates a responsibility that grants a user Edit permissions for a particular asset, you no longer have to refresh the asset page to see the edit icons.
- When you start a workflow that has a date selection in the first form, the date selector now correctly opens only when you click the date field.
Miscellaneous
- Korean word composition is no longer split into separate characters when using Internet Explorer.
- Removing an auto-hyperlink no longer removes the text formatting.
- You can now transform Hiragana characters into Kanji or Katakana characters when using Internet Explorer.
- Adding a rating without adding a review, no longer shows "null" in the review field when using Internet Explore or Edge.
- Copy-and-paste text from a PDF that was opened with the macOS Preview app no longer causes an error when you preserve the text formatting.
- Attempting to delete a global role or resource role that has "xss" in its name no longer fails.
- The secure flag in cookies is now set when you sign in to Collibra Data Governance Center.
- Daily and monthly notification emails are no longer empty when sent to roles other than Business Steward.
- The session timeout dialog box is no longer shown to guest users.
- When you add a characteristic to an asset type, in the Add characteristic dialog box, you can now search on co-role of a relation type whose head and tail asset type is the same.
- You can now edit and remove asset characteristics using only your keyboard.
- You can now use the drag and drop file uploader when using Internet Explorer 11.
- The Swagger documentation no longer shows an error at the end of the API v2 and Import API pages.
- If you add elements in an input form and then delete one of the elements, the deleted element is no longer added back in when you use the TAB key to switch to the next field.
- Special characters are now shown correctly in history tables.
- The activities table is now automatically refreshed if you delete an activity.
- You can no longer delete global assignments that are mandatory for some specific asset types.
- The HTML language tag now reflects the user's language preference.
- The sorting arrow in the asset type and domain type tables now correctly matches the ascending or descending order.
- Using the TAB key in the diagram text editor now advances to the next field, instead of indenting the text.
- When you create manual hyperlinks, the hyperlinks remain active after upgrading from Collibra DGC 4.x to 5.x.
- A hashtag (#) in a hyperlink no longer breaks the hyperlink.
- All pages now have a page title.
- The estimated duration of a job is now only shown when the job has started.
- Deleting a domain with a large number of assets is no longer blocked due to hyperlinks.
