Use Microsoft Teams with Collibra
Once the Microsoft Teams integration is set up, you can start using Teams with Collibra to:
- Receive Collibra notifications in Teams.
- Reply to Collibra comments in Teams.
- Search for Collibra data in Teams.
- Share Collibra assets in Teams.
Receiving notifications and replying to comments are available from the Collibra app in Teams in the Apps section. Searching and sharing can be accessed as a compose extension from within a Teams conversation, such as a chat or channel.

Receive notifications
You receive notifications in the Teams app for specific alerts and actions in the Collibra Platform. The text in a Teams notification is the same as that in a Collibra email.
Note Teams removes any unsupported formatting from a comment, but it remains visible in Collibra.
Reply to comments
You can reply to resource and assessment comments via Teams.
- You can’t reply to a deleted message.
- If a comment is resolved, you need to reopen it in Collibra before replying.
- In the Collibra app in Teams, click Reply in the comment notification.
A dialog box appears. - Enter your comment, and then click Submit.
A green checkmark and the text of your reply are shown in Teams. Your reply is shown on the resource or assessment page in Collibra.
Search for Collibra data
You can search for Collibra data in a Teams chat or channel. The search results are identical to those from the search page in Collibra Platform. You can search for only asset categories. You can't search for users, user groups, domains, or communities.
- In the Teams message bar, click the + icon to open the Actions and Apps menu.
- Select the Collibra app.
- Search within the dialog box by entering your search term and clicking the Search button.
- If needed, filter the results by the top asset types or tags. To apply filters, click the Search button again.
Note The results are filtered based on a combination of fields, but the search result count remains unchanged.
- To share the results, click Share. Otherwise, click Close.
Share assets
When you share an asset, a link to the asset is shown in the Teams notification. You can share only assets. You can't share users, user groups, domains, or communities.
- In the Teams message bar, click the + icon to open the Actions and Apps menu.
- Select the Collibra app.
- Search within the dialog box by entering your search term and clicking the Search button.
- If needed, filter the results by the top asset types or tags. To apply filters, click the Search button again.

- Click Share.
- If necessary, enter text in the message.
- Click Send.
A notification is sent to the Collibra app in the Teams tenant indicating which asset was shared and by whom.
